Debit Card

This screen lets you apply for an Interactive Brokers Debit Mastercard® and manage your current Debit Mastercards. It also displays all cards whose activation is pending and all canceled cards.

Currently, the Interactive Brokers Debit Mastercard is only available to US residents with standalone or advisor/broker-managed individual and joint accounts.

To apply for the card
  1. Click Apply Now.
  2. Read the Cardholder Agreement, type your signature in the field provided, and click Continue.
  3. Review your cardholder information and click Continue.
  4. Record your card activation instructions and save it in a secure place. You will need this information to activate your Debit Mastercard when it arrives in the mail in 7-10 business days.
To manage your active card(s)
  1. Click the full-color picture of your active card. If you have more than one active card (for example, you have a secondary or supplemental card), click the card you want to manage.
  2. In the popup window:
To view your Debit Mastercard transactions
  1. Click Funding > Transaction History.
  2. Adjust the time slider as required.
  3. Change the Method to Debit Mastercard.
  4. Change the Transaction Type to Withdrawal.
To report your card lost or stolen
  1. Call us immediately at 866-532-4654. A replacement card will be mailed to your address on file immediately.

To cancel your card

Note that if you cancel your primary Debit Mastercard, you automatically cancel all other cards attached to this card, including secondary and supplemental cards.

  1. Click the full-color picture of the card you want to cancel.

To make large purchases on your card

Purchases for more than $1,000 require the use of IB Key, our mobile two-factor authentication security app for iOS and Android phones. Use the pre-authorization feature in IB Key to ensure that such larger purchases are not declined.
