  2. Total cost considers execution commission and FX conversion costs charged by the providers. In the case of IBKR, and some other providers where readily disclosed, we have additionally included regulatory, clearing and exchange fees that are passed through to the client on a transactional basis.
  3. For comparison purposes, we have converted "Advertised Rates" to GBP. The USD/GBP FX rate we used in the comparison table is 0.77423.
  4. IBKR, tiered stock commissions of $0.0035 per share + exchange, regulatory and clearing fees. Assumed auto currency conversion charge of 0.03%. Full rate card is available by visiting IBKR Commissions.
  5. Robinhood passes through third-party costs of 0.03% related to FX fees when exchanging from GBP to USD. Assumed a market order which is assessed a spread fee estimated at 0.0125%.
  6. Saxo's VIP account type used. Minimum US stock commission is $1.00 per order for all account tiers.
  7. Degiro fees effective April 18, 2024, per fee schedule on Degiro UK website. €1.00 per trade transaction fee + €1.00 per trade handling fee. Assumed that the trade is placed via Auto FX Trader.
  8. We assumed client has traded at least 3 times in the previous calendar month to meet IG's requirement for £0 US stocks commission.
  9. AJ Bell's £5.00 fee for trades on US shares per deal is based on less than 10 deals in the previous month. FX conversion rates are tiered based on trade value.
  10. Rate for Basic Investment Account type at Freetrade.
  11. Hargreaves Lansdown's £11.95 commission rate is based on 0-9 deals in the previous month. FX conversion rates are tiered based on the deal value.
  12. Interactive Investor's £3.99 commission rate is for the Investor account type. FX conversion rates are tiered based on the deal value. The illustration does not include cost of the account monthly service plan.

  10. ING Diba's commission is a basic fee of €4.90 + 0.25% of the order market value. The basic fee is charged once per order - a maximum of €69.90. FX conversion fee is 0.25%. ING Diba charges a €14.90 fee for trades on foreign trading venues (exchanges).
  11. Swissquote rates are 0.10% of trade value with a minimum of €14.95 per order. Currency conversion fee between USD, CHF, and EUR is 0.90% of trade value.
